Alan Rebeck |
Mr. Rebeck holds two Degrees from Rutgers University, including a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering, is a member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society Standards Committee for
Surge Protection, a professional member of the Lightning Protection Institute and a U.S.
representative to the IEC Surge Protective Devices Standards Subcommittee. He is a regularly
featured speaker to many technical associations throughout the world and has lectured to the
Association of Field Service Managers (AFSM), the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB),
the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), the Association for the Advancement of
Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the Rockwell/Allen Bradley Automation Convention. He has
participated in the review of Motorola fixed site communication installation practices, and
has been contracted by Bechtel Corporation to oversee grounding and lightning protection
design for automated copper mines in South America.
Before joining RO Associates, Mr. Rebeck was responsible for the installation and maintenance
of large-scale computer systems at overseas U.S. Government facilities. He has also served as
the National Field Service Manager for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation as well as Power and
Site Engineer for Hewlett-Packard. He has performed more than 200 power, grounding and lighting
protection surveys at telecommunication sites and manufacturing plants in more than 30 countries.
